Q: How do I place a private advert?
A: Firstly, you must register, once registered you will automatically get logged in. You then have a choice of two price plans, you may choose any classification form under $10,000 to over $10,000 . These plans cost $24.90 until sold. For additional $10.00 you may feature your ad on our home page as well as top of the search results for 30 days (renewable).

A: You can upload 10 photos to the category that you are advertising in.

Q: Can I modify anything on my advertisement at a later stage?
A: You can modify anything at any time 24/7, the only thing you can not modify is your registration number and or your Vin or Engine number.

A: Your ad is live the moment you place it, there is no waiting everything happens instantly.

Q: Can I renew my extras?
A: You can renew your extras after their expiry, your ad will remain at the original placement fee until such time your car is sold.

Q: How do I attach a photo online to my advert?
A: Uploading a photograph to your advert is simple, providing you have a digital or scanned in picture of your vehicle to use. Remember to scan your image at the appropriate size and resolution to ensure the best possible quality. Click on the bottom of the place ad section 'ADD PHOTO' and follow the instructions.

Q: What is the maximum image size?
A: The maximum specification of an image to appear on the website is 640x480 pixels in size, and a resolution of 60 kilobytes(kb)The images can be in either (.jpg .jpeg .gif) format. If you don't have any downsizing software, you may email them to photos@cartrade.com.au

Q: I don't have a scanner or a digital camera?
A: Alternatively if you have a photograph already, post it to Customer Care, cartrade.com.au. P.O.Box 1064 Waverley Gardens, Victoria 3170. Please write your full name, vehicle registration and customer ID number on the back of the photograph. Any photos supplied with adverts must be a true representation of the advertised vehicle. We cannot accept adverts supplied with stock or library photos nor can we accept 'cut-outs' or montages. cartrade.com.au reserves the right to remove such photos from adverts placed for publication on the website. Please note that we can only return photographs if you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

A: Just log in to the auto manager and simply delete the ad.

A: Log in through Auto Manager, then view profile, you can change your password in there. Just make sure you click on update.
